Drilling tanks

I want to drill the bottom of 6-29 gal tanks. Does anyone know if these are tempered? probably not is my guess.

To find out just take a hammer & wack it. If it breaks in a lot of little pieces then it's tempered & your out of luck. But if it cracks then you can drill it.

Although reefstew has a unique approach , it's not the only way to find out if the glass is tempered.

First, can you contact the manufacturer?

You can also view an LCD screen thru the glass using a polarizer lens like sunglasses or camera filter. Tempered looks different.
