driver alarm on a brand new 6000

Hello,

I just recieved a tunze kit in the mail (two 6000's and the 7095). Upon connecting everything and plugging it in, one of the 6000's started up and worked properly, but the other driver alarm immediately sounded and continued; the powerhead never even started up. Any possible input on what could be causing this?

Thanks.

Try running it without the controller connected just to rule out a bad cable. Make sure the bush bearing is fully inserted and no packing material is in the pump.

I've tried running without the controller, to no avail. There is no packing material in the pump. Which part is the bush bearing? If that's just the magnet attached to the prop, that's fully inserted.

Sometimes when I plug it in, the alarm won't sound, but nonetheless the prop doesn't spin.

In terms of warranty repairs/replacements, is that done through the vendor or directly through you?

Thanks for the help.

If you are in the US it is done through me. The bush bearing is the collar around the hole that the magnet inserts in, it often comes loose in shipping and if not fully inserted will prevent the pump from running.
