droopy hammer coral?

Hey guys just got a frag of hammer about a week ago. I set him on the sand bed in a small rock. I feel like its polyps just look kinda droopy compared to what I've seen. My tank is 24 inches deep with 3 watt LEDs at 20% whites and 70% colors (red green blue) I'm wondering if this could mean either too much or not enough light.

How's your calcium/magnesium/alk reading?
When it doubt there's too much light move it to sand and shade. But check that alk!

That Seems a bit low for a smaller hammer coral, I might try moving it about halfway up the tank. I had the same problem with a small hammer coral in the sand bed last month so I moved it up and it looks great!

I keep mine in the mid level range in my tank plus my lights sit right on the glass so a hammer can handle a decent bit of light. They also mope for a bit when they get relocated. Just my two cents, but I went through the same thing with mine a few weeks back.

As long as he is out and inflated that is a good sign, when they are really upset hammer corals tend to deflate and suck into their skeletal base. At least that has been my experience and I have quite a few LPS.
