Dropping snails into tank. Turn them right side up?

I just ordered a package of about 50 various snails from reefcleaners. I am wondering after i float them for 15 minutes and add them to the tank do i just drop them in? or do i have to make sure they land on their "feet" so to speak.

Depends on the snails, but I always flip them on their foot so they have a fighting chance. If they're Astrea snails, they can't turn themselves over so if you don't do it they'll just die there.

I would make sure they are on their "feet".

I agree that it's best to put them on their feet. They may be sluggish (no pun intended) in the new tank.
I would give them a bit more acclimation. Lots will say that you should drip acclimate them, but I've found that slowly adding water (I use my feeding cup) over an hour or two increases my survival. Molluscs seems to be particularly susceptible to this.
