DSA NEO 105 Build

looks great pat. what do u run in that reactor. im gonna get the same one and mix carbon and gfo.

You're going to get allot of different opinions here, but they should not be mixed. The carbon can reach its end of usefulness very fast, arguably overnight. So.... I tumble the GFO gently, and on the output tube, run the water gently across a refillable micron bag filled with some carbon. This way the GFO runs until exhausted (2-3 weeks in my tank) and the carbon I replace after only a few days. I also am a believer of only using carbon once in a while to clear up the water.

thanks for the info. i will probably do the same thing, just run gfo in the reactor and use carbon in a micron bag when needed

New pick ups from PC not placed yet include a ORA Mint Green Pavona, a new (not named yet) ORA Acro -cool piece, and a Red Dragon (from Swanny tank I believe).

Ya if it's ORA, I can't help it. Collect em all lol. Probably at about 40 just from ORA and only missing the Mauve acro for the MIMF pieces, but the yellow fuzzy I just picked up is not doing well. That's my third attempt.

Joe, save me that one in the back hahha

Picked up this new tree frag rack from Thrive, and couldn't help but fill it up:fun4: frags from Geenwich Aquaria

looks good. we saw that frag rack at Greenwich Aquaria. It's pretty awesome.

on a side note, how do you keep your bare bottom so clean? what are your techniques?
