DSB in a fuge?

I've been checking out sump and fuge designs from a lot of places but really haven't seen this incorporated. What are some of your thoughts in keeping a DSB in the fuge? Pro's and Con's? What about long term?

My main tank will be about 70G and the sump will probably be about 29G total. (Not sure about operating gallons yet...)

Some posts from people with this setup would be very helpful too.

Thanks.

I have about 2"sand bed in one of the baffles in my sump, along with more LR and cheato,it grows lots of pods for my manderin,
I've had it for 2 years sence to setup of my tank all is good for now,

I have a 6in DSB in my sump/fuge along with several types of macro. I also keep a mixed reef, and have had no problems. I also have a 3in+ DSB in the display. I have had the tank running for 5 years or so, everything is very healthy.

Just curious, does the area of the DSB matter? Like, would it be more helpful if it's at least 1x1 sq. feet vs. 1x0.5 sq. feet?
