DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

Ok since no one got the reference.............the number is 42 the answer to everything in the universe from "The Hitchikers Guide To The Universe".

Use this number in good health my friend..........but lets keep it our secret!

Peter

Peter. Thank you.
I promise to keep this number as our secret.:bounce3:

This product looks very neat and functional.
Go for it!

Actually Chingchai, I have decided to look at it later in my build because I think I have to use traditional methods first to establish a baseline of experience and performance for my tank. The biggest bonus is that it reduces the labour for water changes and uses a concentrated brine solution for salt water maintenance, supposedly more efficient. If it did not perform as advertised I don't have enough experience to know it and the user base is too small to coach me through problems. So I may well get it but not before I have established stability (the old way!) first. That way I can run in parallel and pull the system off line if I had to.

Peter. That is a good idea.

To be honest, I have to admit I know almost nothing about RO/DI machine.
But I do know the guy who install it in my fish room.
In case anything goes wrong, they can come to fix it very very soon.

Service after sale is what I am really concerned.

If only we could "witness" your tank and Peter's (nineball) next to each other ... kinda like a good neighbour ... omigosh!!! Wishful thinking ... :fun5:

Hi Chingchai,

What's your feeding regime on this tank?.
Is the tank skimmed before feeding into the big tank, or are they freely linked?...

Thanks for advice!

Mo

I daily feed this tank on 6.30 pm with Oyster egg and phytoplankton from DT.
Nutrakol products are fed three to four times per week on 9.00 am.

This tank and main tank are freely linked.
But I did shut down the water to this tank for one hour during feeding time.

What about Rogger’s Reef Food, is getting lots of good reviews here in reef central like the next generation in frozen reef food, base on the ingredients and the way is feed to the tank. With a masterpiece like that Chingchai I guest you only use the BEST,
I been using that food for many month now with great results, check out his web site www.RoggersReefFood.com

Happy Reefing from Puerto Rico

From Dracula's country much respect for your work. Wonderful job!!!
Could you please tell me where did you buy from the hybrid yellow tang and how much was it? Is there any chance to find another one?

Thank you very much!

Andy. Thank you for your kind words.
I got the hybrid yellow tang from Singapore at US$250.00. ( too pricey I guess )
It is just a matter of time to find more. Who knows?

Thanks Chingchai,

Does this hit the skimmer/ sump/ socks before hitting the big tank, or is this direct into the big one and returns to the sump after that?

I'm just trying to work out whether I might be able to run some dendro's in my smaller tank by linking it to the bigger one to control nutrient levels and maybe feed the smaller tank frequently and run that back to feed the big tank.

Mo. You are welcome.
The water from this softie tank hit the sump before hitting the big tank.
