Those stars are stunning! I've always wanted one. Great tank Ching, I just spent 3 hours reading the entire thread. Totally worth it.

Let's start with this one.

ChingChai, I thought starfish were NOT reef friendly.....or am I misinformed?

That one is Chrysiptera rollandi (Rolland's Demoiselle). It is very similar to Chromis nitida.

Yes, now that you mention it, I see it does not have the black stripes on the tail like C. nitida.

This clip video has been shot and edited by my brother's friend.
So I don't have any idea why he re-size the resolution.
Maybe he worried about too big file to download on youtube.

That's okay. I am just being greedy. It is a very nicely made video.

Some of them are not reef safe but not all.

They eat micro-organisms and detritus. No need to feed.
Correct me if I am wrong.

only one reef tank so I can't add copper for her so what

if i can recall, you once said.
If the gardener is satisfied with his garden he doesn't deserve that garden.....or Something like that.your tank is very close to what you have envision.just few more fish and rare inverts.I sure there is no room for more corals .
I hoping you keep it for a long while before the 5000 gallon upgrade! Lol

You need to quickly set up a hospital/quarantine tank. But I would guess that you are already too late.

Have you informed the LFS of the fish's condition? What response did you get?

metronidazole and quinine are somewhat reef safe but I would catch the tang in a trap and treat it with copper in a hospital tank.

You should leave that fish at the shop and let them treat her for you.
Or you have to set up QT tank asap.
