Ching - your stocklist gets better and better!! 20+ Ventralis anthias...awesome! Most would die to see one of those thrive let alone a school...

kudos to you Ching!

absolutely stunning group of anthias!!!!!!!!!! Since these did not come out of your previous display, did you treat them for internal parasites with Prazi? These anthias are notorious for coming in with some nasty stuff. Again, wow most of us rarely see pne maybe three, but a group of 20!!! Amazing!!! Also are they eating for you? Thanks

Wow, this never stop does it? Let it be man, let Ching enjoy his purchase. If he does not have a quarantine tank, it's his choice. He knows what he's doing.

Hi Chingchai,

I am from Malaysia and I have been following your tread for sometime. All I can say is good job and very impressive setup you have. Few questions for you to advice, are your ventrallis anthias start feeding? from what i know these anthias are not easy to keep. therefore would you mind to share what type of food you are going to feed them?
Thanks

good to see you posting again!:wavehand:
this is one of the best builds i have ever seen excellent setup and excellent job on taking care of the tank the way you have
i cant wait to see more updates

I'm wondering about feeding, too...and how often will you feed.
Great pick on the anthias, Ching! When you had just finished your rockwork I had posted that it was just crying out for a bunch of anthias. I love ventralis! :bounce1:

You had originally added apogons and 10 chromis, I think. I know the chromis didn't make it...will you be replacing them?

Also wondering how the apogons are doing. What are you feeding them and how often. I had read that they are nocturnal. Are they out in bright light for you?

Thank you for a great inspirational thread, Ching!
Sunny

You are right.
These anthias are very difficult to keep because of their eating behavior.
I just introduced them last night so they don't eat anything yet.

From my experience,
They like these dried foods and also frozen Mysis shrimp.

I feed my fish once a day.
I may replace Blue Chromis one more time.
Apogon are all doing fine.
They show up in school day and night.
