DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

Well if your pocketbook is empty all you can really do for now is sit back and enjoy what you have. Watch your corals go, go flashlight hunting for unknown creatures.

Trust me your tank is way beyond what many of us consider a dream tank as it is. I could be very happy with what is there myself.

Good luck with any future progress you have.

Debi. Thanks you.

Some update:

I move the outlet pipe of skimmer, carbon, ozone, phosphate and frag tank to the filter sock.
The reason is to reduce micro bubble in the sump.

:wavehand:

Congratulations - because the micro-bubbles don't remain in the sump. I can imagine that it is very nasty, watching such a wonderful, bright tank (very sorry for your fishes:sad1:) with it's fantastic corals - and there are lots of micro bubbles in the water.

Chingchai: thank you so very much for sharing your impressions with all of us. It is a real dream for most of us reefkeepers, which we NEVER can make become true.

PS:

Because of your empty pocket : the money you spend for the tank can't be used to buy wine. Never in a life time, you can drink so much (even very good!!) wine:lmao:

Yes, I am happy with what I did. Sump looks much better without micro bubbles.

P.S. I still have some spare money to buy wine.:lmao:

sorry for your fishes..
great tank. how much this beauty system cost totally?

borcu. Thank you.

Well, the only figure I can remember is the cost of this acrylic tank.
It costs US$2,600.00 include delivering.
Then the rest, I really don't want to calculate.

Sorry I can't answer your question.:wavehand:

I think that is the darkest skimmate I've ever seen! Strange how the tank wouldn't really look too dirty if you took the skimmer offline for 3 days. But imagine if you emptied that into even a tank the size of yours. It would make the entire tank FILTHY. How can that be lol.

That is the power of Bubble King. Right?;)
My fish guy already cleaned the skimmer yesterday.
And you know what, the room smelled so bad!

Thanks Chingchai, your softie tank is inspirational!!!! You have been very busy.......there is more than the coco worm added since your last update.

Thank you for answering my questions.

just how do you clean this bad boy i noticed you were in it earlier in the thread to clean it but with all the coral and sand how do you do it now?

Peter

You have sharp eyes.
Yes, I add some more Tiger Sponges and Sea Fan.

Even without fish for now it is the best looking tank on the web I would say, Thanks for sharing and updating.

What do you feed your softies?

Hi Ching chai
When you clean your main tank with the Tunze power magnet, do you think is easy to remove the algae? How often do you clean your main tank? Does it get scratches easily? You have a tank that I always dreamed of, I am planning to set up a tank just half size of yours, but I really have the fear of how am I going to clean the surface that I cannot reach with my hands. I am running a 180G acrylic tank but sometimes is having a lot of troubles cleaning the calcium and some algae.

Dav

Always amazing every time I check your tank out Ching!! Looking good all around! Sucks about your fishys though :(. On the flipside, your softie tank is sweeet!! Oh and how long have you had that red carpet for? Does it move around or is it pretty stationary where it's at? It's a gorgeous carpet for sure! :)
