What a wicked build! I just lost one hour of my life going thru this post (and skipping a few pages!).
Do you accept visitors? I'm coming to Thailand next week for a month.
Chingchai, I can literally taste the salt.......amazing pictures.
New gadget, waterproof camera from Canon (Powershot D10)

Your tank rocks.
i finally went through 126 pages, very addicting i must say. it must be sweet sitting on that bench and just sipping on some very tasty wine. =)
OMG. this tank makes me feel silly for admiring my tiny tanks lol. This definitely has inspired me for my future tank projects. Thanks for sharing your awesome creation with all of us!
i think i have an acan quite similar to this. is it mostly tan and darker brown? some days or mornings the tan will turn bright mint green but other days or evenings it seems to stay more tan. strange acan but i like it.
Chingchai, my build is about to start but a question came up that I don't know the answer to and thought you might have an opinion or anyone else on this thread. My tank is around 25ft long and is visible from both sides. I am just about to have paneling installed over the top of the tank and the cabinet maker wants to put in teak. Is that the best choice and what should be the recommended finish? There will be a large aerated pipe running the full length to create negative air pressure so that humidity should not be a problem (I hope).
any advice would be welcome...
Peter
Thank you very much Chinchai, Its not my taste either but other decisions made by the "decorator" (my wife) make the teak an obvious choice.
You will be the first person I will invite publicly when I start the thread. I am honored to say that I have been heavily influenced by your discipline and method. With the display tank open on both sides I will have close to 50 feet of viewable seascape. I have delayed opening my build thread until the surrounding renovation has been completed.
I have been taking lots of hi res pictures and I will have some of the pipe archetecture shortly.
By the way, I love the underwater shots. Is it difficult to do?
Peter
