DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

In the display they have to compete with a lot of other fish for food which in turn also induces a lot more stress on the fish!!

But those fish are coming from an established aquarium, as Mr.Ching said, besides travelling in BKK for abit they didnt go through any stress as many hours shipping, bagging, starving before a shipment, etc.

So therefore the fish are in bad condition to begin with. If ya have the luxury of giving the fish a reduced stress environment for the sake of a couple of weeks he may as well take advantage of it.

Hey Chingchai ... do you intend to release the Gem and Achilles Tangs into your display tank when the lights are turned off for the night?

I disagree. A small sump filled with pumps and plumbing is FAR from a stressfree environment. Exspecially when compared to an enormous tank with ample swimming room and hiding spots. And, using Chingchai's logic, they didnt need to be quarantined because they are "healthy from another tank" (as Vili mentioned), so why this step? It just doesnt make any sense to me whatsoever.

Well, the pleasure is all mine.
I already introduce pair of Gem Tang and pair of Achilles Tang in the main tank this morning.
You guys are right. Big Gem doesn't pay attention of the small one.
All three Achilles are doing fine. No big fighting. Just a little welcome move from the old one.
I can't wait for five Achilles. My patience is over.
Cross my fingers they can happily live together.

I will take pictures and video clip by tomorrow.

My next wish list fishes:
- pair of Crosshatch Trigger fish
- school of Ventralis Anthias
- pair of Lavender Firefish

hey chingchai ... here's a teaser pic of both a Gem and Black Tangs. Belongs to a friend .... :inlove:

Ching, one day I'd like to pick your brain at aquarium setups. Although the one I'm aiming for is admittedly minor in comparison, you're part of only a handful I see with the attention to detail and complete tie-in's with efficiency.

Any recent FTS ? I'm trying to bribe the lady into our next house being focused around my garage and an aquarium :D

Sorry for bad pictures and shaking video clip. It is some kind of rush.

Ching, I'm sorry if you have already answered this, but what are those curleycue type corals (if they are corals). They seem to get longer and longer each time you post new pictures. Are they some sort of seawhip?

When they get too long, are they easily fragged and restarted again?

I have never seen anything like them available here. Were they a special order for you, or are they common at your LFS?

Thx for your time,

Dave.M

Variansyn. Thank you for your kind words.
It definitely is not the brain. I better want to call it " Obsession ".
Nothing change yet from the last FTS.

One good excuse I can recommend you to persuade your lady is:
What would you prefer my dear?
Playing golf all day or spending all the time at home for fish tank
