DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

Hello Chingchai,
I would like to thank you for your hospitality and kindness you showed myself and friend last week. I wish u your family and all at Siam reef club a very Happy New Year

P.s We come back in Sept.....Cant wait

if the depends on size i think if there is a big difference most like the big tang won't pick on the little one. this is base on a couple of purple and yellow tang on my tank

sorry i am using IPHONE
what i notice is that the big tang will leave the small tang alone if its not a threat to it specially in the huge tank like yours.sorry for your loss!

You have to put them together in a place they can see each other but with a devider so they can get use to each other.
Make sure they wont escape as if they will be together in a small place, it'll be a problem.
After few weeks together, I'd try to intro them together, but there's no gurantees.

good luck and more important, good luck to all the people in Bangkok, hope the current situation will improve sonnest.

Vili. Thank you for your comment and your concern.

Well may we see a pic of the big bugger.

Why not?

Hi Mike,

It's good to see you and your friend.
We can meet again in September.

All the best,

Oops. I forgot to tell you guys that I also got one pair of Achiles Tang from this LFS's customer.
So now I have one in display tank, two in the sump.
Hope I can find other two shortly.

WOW!!!:eek1: That Gem Tang looks huge. Achilles and Gems are some of my favorites. Congratulations on the great finds. Can't wait to see them in the display.

Holy Pad Thai :eek1:!!! That is one heck of a Gem alright!!! WOW!!! Love the Achilles Tangs too!!

Two of my favorite Tangs!!

Paul

Friends. Many thanks for your sympathy.

However, the show must go on.
I just buy another very big Gem Tang from my LFS's customer.
This fish has been in his tank for three years.

Now I already put him in the sump and will introduce both of them into the display tank next week.

What do you guys think? Is it safe they won't fight each other?

That's a very nice fish! Personally, I would not worry about fighting: it is very clear who will be the boss ;) I would release the two gem tangs in the tank tonight, if I were you :)

wow SIR how big is the gem tang?
i never have the guts to buy a achilles tang because my tank will always have ick. great find!

I do believe these Achilles' were from one the LFS customers ... most possibly in the tanks for quite sometime too. Thus making them ... hardy and eating as well!!

Paul

Ching,
When I add new tangs a method that has always helped me was putting a mirror in the tank for a few days. The tangs see themselves and attack it to no avail. Eventually they accept defeat and stop the attack.
