DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

Is your profilux type 2, 2 plus ..., 3, 3 eX??
And what do you control with this profilux?? Also.. You have some tunze multicontrollers and wavecontrollers, but couldn't you control that functions with the profilux??
And your ozon-installation isn't that clear for me.. Euhm.. HDPE (high density polyethylene) is used for?? And this material has also have to be changed every ...?? And the carbon that's also connected at the filter?? Could you just tell me a little bit about this system, because my question isn't that clear I think :))??

Mine is type 2 plus.
I just use this profilux to monitor PH, ORP, temperature etc.
The placement of profilux is too far to connect with my Tunze.
That's why I use Tunze controller.

For HDPE, no need to change it.
You can add more if you want.
Carbon in the filter is for absorbing the smell of ozone.

Hello Ching

Absolutely beautiful ching, your tank now brighter and color look more nature.

Ching, i want to ask you, do you always turn off your skimmer when you add calcium, carbonate alkalinity, trace elements additive, prodibio biodigest, prodibio biptim ?

Anton

Hi Anton,

Thank you.
I never turn off my skimmer.
For H&S sulfur filter, I never use it but it is safe.

Hi Ching,

Been reading your thread since morning- for the last 6 hours. The best ever. Keep up the good work. Bangkok has become a must visit place after reading this thread. And many like me must have come before for this pilgrimage to your tank. And many more will follow.

Cheers,

Vijay.

Hi Vijay,

Thank you for your kind words.
You will love Bangkok and I welcome you to see my tank.

Cheers,
Chingchai

Wow I love the color of the new lights!!

I understand that your previous VHO's bulbs included some Aquasun. I think that part of the color change is due to the change from the Aquasun to the 454's.

In my tank I have tried all UVL bulbs, Aquasun, Actinic white (both have some pink color) Superactinic and 454's. I think that removing the Aquasuns was a good idea. I love the 454's! That is what I have now more light intensity than the superactinics!

For coral, I carry them back by myself.
But for fish, they can deliver door to door without cites.
I just need AWB and invoice.

Thank you for the response sir.

I want to bring some nice chalices back to US from our family vacation to southeast asia but I guess without cities and importing licensed/ permit its nearly impossible to be done :(

Grand Master Ching,

Congrats on being honoured a Grand Master. The new bulbs brought out more natural coral colours and hopefully will give you more growth as 14K lights have more PAR. The VHO actinics will certainly help maintain the flourescence.

On the other hand, the old bulbs produced a look that is more in tune with what our eyes see scuba diving.

It's refreshing to see tanks with more natural coral colours for a change.

Cheers

Yes, I agree with you.
454 is much better than superactinic.

I am not sure whether the shop in Japan can issue cites and import permit.
Which city your family are going to visit?
I can ask Koji and somebody for this matter.
