Yes, we can add in pair.
Not only this fish, but also other kind of them.

bagz727. Thanks.Sorry for your loss!
Sorry for your loss. Because of the size of your tank, I would put the one you already have in it. If you are able to acquire another dejongi, just add it: there is plenty of space to avoid each other in case they wouldn't like each other straight away![]()
That is very sad to hear, probably shipping stress? I was also very depressed when i lost my lipogramma klayi overnight due to a bladder infection. However i soon got over it and i believe you will too.
Anyway i feel you should just add the lone Dejongi into the main tank. There's no need to pair your Dejongi up, it is beautiful enough on its own in your main tank!
Chingchai,
I am very sorry for your loss. Your tank and your experience with it has become community property on this forum so we all feel the loss in some way. However whether its a predator, a tsunamis, global warning or even human intervention, evolution is a fact of life that nothing stays the same. As long as we aspire to be passionate about this hobby, pain and sadness will always counterbalance the joy and happiness. It is as much a fact of life that I have been learning about in the marine world as learning to use a skimmer properly.
After you have QT'd the fish long enough to ensure that he is healthy for the main tank then put him in and give him a royal name so we can share in the history of this fish with you. Sort of makes him special and honours his former tank mates.............
Keep your head high Chingchai you have lots more work to do!!!!
Peter
Sorry about the loss sir
But this hobby is always very challenging specially if your pushing the boundaries that's why we are so addicted to it.
I know your dejongi is rare and very expensive but the large angels is my equivalent of your rare fish since that's the most I can afford.
And still I keep on trying like you told me so![]()
Haksar. Thanks.Sorry for your loss Chingchai..
this fish is so nice for how long you have him in your tank? it could be by shipping stress.
Very sorry for your loss, Chinchai...
Truly amazing Chingchai!
Every time i see a updated picture i think it cant get any better then you pull out shots like these
If possible do you have hi res of the other 3 pics also that you could share?
Sorry to see that Chingchai...trust me I know how you feel.
If you really want to pair them up With a higher success rate I would wait for the second specimen, and place the new on on QT for a few weeks to get healthy. Then introduce them into the QT together and let them get comfortable there prior to going into the display.
The other school of thought is to just keep the one if it is really healthy and count your blessings.
Unbelievable job so far with everything.
Sorry for your loss Chingchai. If only fish were immortal.
Keep up the amazing work.
alanbates12. Thank you.Sorry for your loss. Man I must say this is an amazing thread. Your tank and the detail is out of this universe. I've tried to catch a video but not able to view it right now. I do see a few things I think your lights are off when I'm awake here in Alabama. When I win the lottery I'm going to start a thread like this.....
just 1 word WoW!....ching thank for sharing the amazing threat build I learn a lot from it and hopefully in feature my tank will be 10% good as your I be happy![]()
Chingchai, that you think to feed the fishes with tubifex?
No, I don't think so.
They are scary.
chingchai,
Can you give us an idea on how much you feed your tank daily? Quantity and types of food?
