DSPS tank from Thailand (1000 gallon+)

Guys. Thank you so much for all your kind comments.
I do feel good to be back for what I love.
Now it's time to search for more rare corals and fishes....

Fishes are all okay. Only I lost one clownfish and one Crosshatch with no reason.

Sir
What kind of clown was it? And the crosshatch is it the male or female
I am think of getting a pair too but I have a constant mild ick in my main tank.
But maybe one of this day along with scribble and orange tail emperor.

Hi Chingchai

I see you transfer the Australia Spider Sponge into the main tank. Nice move!
I would like to ask how can you keep this sponge so good. My friends and I have several
sponge in tank. My problem is the white part is good as new. The white polyp bloom very nice. But the rad part slowly turned to no color and died.
So what's your secret?
Many thanks!

No secret at all.
And this one is the new one. The old one is still in the softie tank.
I did lose so many sponge. They are too difficult to keep.

However, I suggest you to use very soft brush to wipe out the algae on the red tissue. Do it as often as you can.

A little change for my refugium:
- change 50% of Miracle Mud
- change lighting from T5 48"x 12 to MH 400W x 2
- change from Chaetomorpha to Mangrove

Looking ever so beautiful Chingchai.
Your idea for keeping sandbed open is very good. It will really highlight the aquascape and make it stand out. Even I wanna do the same my new build I'm gonna start.

"Masterclass" that's what this tank is.

It's been a while since i was here, many things happend but as always you have set things back on track Chinchai.
As you now your tank is still one of the best,i love this thread because people sometimes can see how much work(or hobby)a tank like this contents.
Succes whit your search.
Keep up the good work:wave:

Hi Chingchai! Following you amazing tank from the begging. Sorry to hear about the majano but I really think that "problems" force us to do improvents. I really love empty sand beds and I like better your current setup. Just a comment about the laser, we have one as small Greek community (openreef.gr) that it seems to work on pests like aptaisia and majano.
Just on question for you: what could be the reason for spiral coral (I see a lot in your tanks) to grow only as the flexible part pointing to the light?

Thanks
Giannis

Luc. Thank you so much.
Your tank is always my motivation.

You are right. It is always hard work in this hobby.
But what we deserve when things done is happiness. Right?

Hi Glannis, Thanks for your comment on laser.
For Spiral coral, I can't keep them for the long period. They should be fed very often.
Next time I get them, I will keep feeding them.

Would like to give you guys how the tank looks like before and after.
It's good to look back and keep my chin up.
