Dual 250 gallon Marineland Monterey Deep Dimension build

Been looking at this thread for a while and they both look incredible! Question though. What percent are your LED's running at, and how long did you adapt the corals for? Thanks!

I pulled the trigger today. Ordered the 250DD Starphire with Monterey Stand, I also got the glass covers (not sure if I will use them or not). My friends spoke highly of Monterey, so I went ahead and got them to maintain the warranty. Hopefully it should arrive next week or two.

My wife gave me an unpleasant look when I had the floor taped off. Apparently I didn't mention how big I was upgrading to. :eek2:

Thanks for posting the pics. Tank looks great! A friend of mine has reef breaders. I'm using 3 kessils on my 90 gal now, but looked at getting the reef radiance moonlights to go along with the Kessils. Reef Breaders and Reef Radiance almost look alike, not sure why reef radiance are a little less expensive.

Great, good luck with your build. Please send me the link when you start.

They are big tanks. I originally was going to order a 300 and a 250, but made a small measuring error when I was finishing the space in my basement and lost about a foot, causing me to default to the dual 250's.

Ecotech Vortech MP60's

Ecotech Vortech MP60's

In general, I have been very happy with my MP 40's. Unfortunately, in my Tusk tank, I had some dead spots and was getting some nuisance algae growth. So,

I removed the 40's and upgraded to 60's. Big difference, lots of flow.

I moved the 40's to my other 250, so that tank now has 4 x MP40's.

All around a win.

I am going to sell the MP10's on eBay.
