Dual Maxspect Gyres 200 Series - Programming Ideas?

I'm adding two new Gyre 230's to my 120 Gallon 4'x2'x2' tank tonight and I'm going to be playing with different flow patterns.

Is anyone else running two gyres on the new advanced controller?

What does your program look like?

I have one of them (xf 250) on my 120, to begin, it seems far too powerful for my tank if even above 40%, sand starts blowing around, corals are about to blow away and everything (Caribsea medium sand)
I put mine vertical on one side, it seemed to be the only way to circulate the water where it doesn't get forced into sand and blow it around.

It seems like there many cool programs but they far too hard to use and program..... it is bizarre to me because there appears to be a memory card slot on the unit and supposedly wifi and an app or something? No word on the app yet. No idea what the memory card slot is for. I would love and easier way to program them with a nice computer graph interface or something. Also no way for timed feed modes?

Interesting. I haven't heard anything about the wireless or app. I do see the memory card slot. Where/How did you hear about the wifi and app?

I played around with it after work today and didn't get too deep into programming it but I did run through several of the modes until I found one that I think will work best for me, at the current moment.

Right now I have them set to run at 0-100% random flow rates. This doesn't rely on the connectivity of the two, but does provide some really great random flow in the tank. I have both gyres placed near the top of the tank on either side facing each other.

I'm leaving for a few days tomorrow morning but when I get back I'm going to play with the programming some more and see what I can come up with.

I have just added a new controller and a 250 to run with my exiting 150. Both placed horizontally around 10cm from the surface at opposite ends of the tank, trying them out on constant mode with these settings at the mo:

0900 - A+30% / B-20%
1500 - B-20% / A+30%
2100 - A+20% / B-20%
0300 - A-20% / B+20%

Early days and i'll likely play around with the settings but great flow so far in my 90g. I was going to try the LTC mode but seems you can only set the max flow at 50% which is a bit too aggressive for my liking when they are both going at the same time.

I have just noticed an issue where it seems to be skipping the 3rd time point so at 2100 it goes from point 2 to point 4 annoyingly, will be attempting to contact maxspect customer support for a solution.

As for feed mode you can press down the power button and select a time period.

Your right about the confusing programming and those charts in the manual are completely useless if you ask me! Still though minor annoyances aside i'm happy with it so far.
