I posted this in the new section, but after thinking about it decided it was probably better in this section.
Hi all,
So currently I have an 80gallon that is 4ft long. I have a rio return pump (I think 2500) and right now my return line has a circle nozzle not a flare nozzle. It creates great surface break, but does make quite a lot of noise, and also pushes the sand away in the far corner (to reveal the bottom of the tank).
My question is, should I change out the whole line and replace with a single loc-line 3/4" with flare nozzle, or should I make it 2 return lines with a y adapter and 2 flare nozzles. I am not sure if splitting it would cause unnecessary force on the pump or anything. Just trying to A:create better flow, B:reduce noise,C:not blow sand around anymore.
Thanks in advance.
