Pretty sure I know the answer, but need to confirm ....is the sensor for the 3152 waterproof?? Asking as I am placing the sensor in the sump and have water level fluctuation from water changes. Can the sensor stay submersed or is it water "resistant". I know for some of the apex probes, you can submerge them. Any help is appreciated.

Yep! It's totally waterproof. It just senses the water level. Any part of the Tunze ATO that is made to go inside the tank/sump is completely waterproof.

Not a dumb question, quite a fair one actually!

I will say that I have seen the sealant fail on many a float switch..
It can happen.. But in general is just fine/waterproof..
Its low voltage anyways I believe..

I typically replace floats every year/2 or so just as preventative maintenance..
