Duncans Staying Closed

So I got some duncans at RAP and they were doing great. Then one day the closed up and the just open a little every now and again. They are also emitting some kind of yellow fuzz out the side. Any clues as to what is happening. They are about 20" bellow a set of 6 T5s 3 blue and 3 10k.

My duncans will do the staying closed for periods of time. In general it is not the whole colony but just parts of it. I have had whole colonies do it when I adjust my flow around. But eventually they reopened. Not sure about the fuzz... Pictured?

How is your salinity? Any pic?

Check carefully for brown jelly disease. I had the same problem. You can treat it with dips and neomycin.

Mine is Po4 meter, it stay close when level raise a bit off limits
