Ok I have questions for the pros.

First my image which is sized for my questions, not ready to install:

Ok do I have the glue and tape areas correct. The print out that John gave me also mentions Plumbers Tape but I am not sure if that is the same as the normal tape you use to change a shower head?

Also I need to shave the Steet-Ell down, do you also shave the 'T' at this point to get it even closer?

I have not gotten to the air hole in the top yet but what size drill do I start out with on this for a 1 1/4" Piped Durso?

O2,

I don't glue anything from the bottom of the T up. start with a 1/8" drill bit and work your way up to adjust the water flow and air mixture. (basically tuning for sound)

ok thanks Greg. The next question is going to be the height of the Durso but I will get to that when I have a pick of what I think it is supposed to be light. Right now I am water testing the tank for leaks so that will be in the morning I think unless I drain and mess with it some more tonight.

I don't glue any of the parts from top to bottom, that way you can take it apart if necessary. The pipes all seal very well by just briskly pushing them together. You can shave the T also if you need the room. I agree with the 1/8" bit as a start point too. I'd hunt around and see if you can find a 1 1/4" to 1" thread adapter so you can avoid having to use the reducer. The thread adapter will be more of a funnel shape and allow a smoother flow.

I didn't glue the bottom of the T to the down pipe on mine. You can trim the "L" and the "T" to get them as close as you like.

O2,

The height of the pipe depends, I try to get the most out of it so to reduce the distance the water falls over the overflow to reduce that noise too.

I like the 1 1/4" to 1" thread adapter better than the coupling too.

Damn I just glued it all together :) (The bottom half under the T as I am doing a wet test now) Ohhh well maybe I will make a second set as I have plenty of pipe and its just a couple bucks in PVC on the bottom.

Taped and installed the stands - filled the overflow with water and also removed the caps after I poured all the water.

Bottom of the stands taped, glued, and screwed into the Bulkheads.

A couple bottom shots, no leaks yet.

And of course you need to have a bucket to catch any water while your sleeping :) Just in case....
