Mo, I had trouble with cyano and other algae. It turned out my cilicate filter was clogged and had begun to rot. It smelled like ****. :eek1:
When this was cleaned up after two weeks the cyano and most other algae was gone.

Thanks nuccadoc ! I have a shallow sand bed that is occasionally replaced.
