Dwarf Angel feeding?

I purchased a dwarf angel about 3 months ago and it does not seem to care for the frozen algae blend or marine flakes. Luckily it has been been eating all the algae in my tank and rocks. What has worked for you? I would like to get him on to something else so I can eradicate this algae(or reduce it significantly), until then the algae stays and I ensure the algae thrives.

What type of dwarf and how small? My experience has been with juvenile dwarfs they will just pick at rocks for the first couple of months. My juvenile lemon peel just started eating Larry's Reef Frenzy and pe mysis

I think that you should check Humaguy's tank thread... I think that he mentioned a major problem feeding Larry's RF to dwarf angels

It is a flame angel about 4 inches. I also tried feeding coral frenzy. It does seem some what interested as it seems to eyeball bits of food but doesn't try it.

Interesting I was unaware of this and the fall out.

I've been feeding my Conspic this and haven't noticed any issues but I'll probably stop not worth the risk.

My other go to food is spirulina brine.

Took my potters ages to actually eat prepared foods. Survived just fine grazing the rocks.

I have a 2" Flame in QT right now and its eating New Life Spectrum pellets like crazy. I did get it from DD so that probably helped.

I had a hard time getting a Coral Beauty to eat in QT which die. He would grab the food and spit it right back out. I tried everything frozen food you could think of and pellet food. Keep trying, hopefully it will come around and get hungry enough.

I've had coral beauties and flame angels. Both liked PE mysis and Ocean Nutrition pellets.

+1 and Karen has also had similar problems with her 22 yr old Regal with LRS

My fish seem to LOVE Reef Frenzy, but it messes with my skimmer for days! I have a new 3" Lemon Peel Angel. He picks at the rocks and sand, and will eat flakes, but I did the every-other-day feeding of mysis shrimp today and he wasn't interested at all. I was wondering about seaweed. Is that a good option for the angel? My other fish all love mysis, so that's about all I feed (flakes occasionally), and every once in a while I'll give them Reef Frenzy or Rod's Food. Also, will the angel eat algae off the glass?

You might can try PE Mysis Shrimp or they make a special food for Dwarf Angels.
