Dwarf feeding - during vacation

What do all of you Dwarf owners do when you are vacation for a week or two?

Do you have someone come in and hatch baby brine and feed while you're away?

Do you use a supplement other than raising Mysis in the same DT?

I really like these little guys but people I know would not be able to hatch the brine and feed them, even if I showed them. So looking for an alternative food that would be easy for a novice. What about the pods or plankton sold at pet stores?

The only way I know of is with a dosing pump, that is only good for as long as your BBS stay alive. I have set up a 'drip' with Rotifers in it but that also will only last until you empty the container they are in...and not overflowing your tank. Have you considered going on vacation next year...or finding a "Seahorse Savy" tanksitter or friend nearby.......Sorry.......I have womdered the same thing several times.........

Thanks for the reply.

I don't have any yet but am going to setup a tank. I am torn between these little guys or something that can eat frozen foods. Like a Reidi, Kuda or Erectus.
Of course that means a bigger tank. So still in the decision mode. If thay eat rotifiers that may be a good supplement. Do you feed them them rotifiers frequently or occasionally?

Welcome to the world of SH-keeping.

It would be pricy, but if you have access to live Tigriopus copepods, you could have somebody dump a bottle or two into the tank every couple of days or so. Since they're a swimming pod, they would be great for zots.
