Dwarf SH and Harlequin Shrimp?

Soon i'll be buying a 2.5 gallon tank to put dwarf seahorses. The question is could i keep a pir of harlequins in with them. I'm pretty sure they wont eat them because they only eat starfish. Would this work? If so how many pairs of dwarf could i keep in there. And finally what temp. do the horses need. I have kept pipefish before and wondered if a pair of bluestripes could go on there.

Any insight would be great=)

Thanks

The tank is a little small, the harlequins need stars and as they eat it it produces a lg amount of waste. In a bigger tank, say a 6 gal nano with a protien skimmer you would have better luck.

As far as tank mates they will just ignore each other, the shrimp will only pay attention to stars and wont bother any micro inverts that the seahorses will feed on during the day, and wont compete with the other foods that you feed your seahorses.
