Dyed Carpet Anemone?

NO! However, that does not mean that some may not be dyed... There are numerous awesome real carpets that flouresce in many colors (including green).

That picture actually looks almost exactly the same color as a carpet in one of the tanks at my favorite LFS. Not only am I pretty sure this guy wouldn't knowingly sell a died anemone, but it's been in the tank for at least a few weeks and hasn't lost any of its color.

I've seen so many flouresent green carpets that I was finding it hard to belive that they were all dyed. I have also seem some "ugly" non colored carpets. I wonder who would dye and sell them.

At the local aquarium the have had one like that for a couple of years. I not believe these are dyed.

Why don't you write Bob Ferner and see what he says?

I don't think I have ever seen a dyed carpet anemone in the 20 years I've been in the hobby. I used to see a lot of dyed sebaes, but not very often anymore.
