dying bubble coral

hi, can someone help me understand why my bubble coral has detiorated over the last few weeks?
i have had it for around 6 months and was kept under but not directly under a 150 watt 14k metal halide supplemented with actinic T8.
calcium is steady at 430ppm, KH is 8, MG is 1350, PO4 is 0, nitrate has always been around 15ppm.
no new livestock has been added for at least 5 months.
the coral just stopped opening and seemed to die away from its skeleton.

thank you,
paul

Is it pulling away from it's skeleton?

I've got a couple of bubbles that I've had for years. I've seen them go a few days without opening before. When I first got them, I had one that started doing the same. All I could do was watch and try to help by keeping the water stable. It recovered and has been growing nicely since.

Maybe try a water change and run some carbon on your tank in a HOB filter. Bubbles are fairly hardy and can recover. Good luck.

hi , thanks for your reply.
the flesh was literally hanging off the skeleton.
i ran carbon, done water changes and still it got worse.
it looked like it would not recover, i mean it had no life in it i decided to remove it today.
the first loss i have encountered and its really bugging me that all my efforts over the last few weeks have not payed off .

everything else is thriving, i would have thought my ancora would have displayed poor health if anything was wrong with the water?
