Can the E5 lamps be used in MH fixtures, such as the Maristar? Or would the heat affect their performance/lifespam? anything in the warranty that mentions this?

Too much heat would reduce the performance/lifespan of any light bulb. However, if the fixture was designed properly, the impact should not be significant. We have not been informed of any warranty exclusions when used with metal halides.
