Early Secret Santa for Sandy Victims

I have a proposal guys:
Why don't each of us who survived the storm pledge on here to give one frag to a person whose tank crashed once they get things back to normal? I could keep track of it on this thread if you want. Let's give everyone a month to sign up and at the end I'll put everyone's name in a hat and match each donor to a victim. We may not be able to help everyone, but I think we have an obligation to do SOMETHING.
Rules:
1. Everyone who wants a frag will have to prove that they had significant losses via photo. I know, it's hard to do, but I have visions...
2. I'd prefer to keep this within the club for the sake of simplicity, but I'll let Dan and the BOD decide that.
3. One frag per person. We want to help as many people as possible.
4. NO JUNK! I'm not saying you should give away a $500 chalice, but it shouldn't be those two brown palys in the back of your tank that you've been meaning to cover with kalk either...

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

I'll toss in a few frags. I'm all about helping out those in need. I know I've been that guy plenty of times... Heck without a couple great friends in this club, my tank would have been down long ago!

This is a grand idea! I just recently recovered from a tank crash and know how heart crushing it is to see all your hard work die in front of you.

I will definitely donate a couple frags. As of now I have a couple polyps of armor or god paly and a few Tubb's blue zoanthids I can frag.

Do you mean paid in full members or members as in they participate here? If you mean paid in full members who get, then I think it should only be paid in full members who give. If you open it up to participants then you would have a wider giving audience as well.

FYI Kelvin has set up a tank at his store just for this purpse and anyone who wants to donate frags can give them there and those who lost can take.

Yeah, the more I think about it, I don't want people to have to pay a membership to get help. Lets open it to everyone in PA, but they'll have to make their own arrangements to get the frag to their tank.

Sooooo... Who out there was effected by Sandy? I know Brad lost fish (ESP one of my favorites). Anyone have major crashes?

I'm gonna give this thread a big ole bump for a new reefer in our area. If you haven't seen maddmaxx build thread yet, not only did he lose his two tanks but he lost his entire house. He has since left the jersey shore and joined our area. I've told him if he comes down I'll hook him up. Anyone else?
