After 4 weeks of quarantine I added an Earmuff Wrasse to my 120 gal reef tank. She hid immediately and two weeks later came out only to be severely harassed by the Falco Hawkfish. He wouldn't let up, he'd chase the fish til she buried herself in the sand and she wouldn't eat. I've seen her a couple times briefly since, looked like she lost weight, poor coloration, but no sign of disease.
I spent the last week baiting a fish trap for the Falco Hawk with no avail. I put blackworms in the trap, I starved the tank, I tried fresh seafood, no luck.
The trap came out. Now what? I may know where the wrasse is buried, I'm thinking of digging her out with a net over the sand and putting her in QT in hopes of reviving her and finding a good home. Beautiful fish, this is stressful.
Any suggestions, please?
