I'm at work in LB, but I called Reefmeister and he went by and checked my tank. I guess some water sloshed out and tripped the gfi but my battery backup airpumps were working and my UPS was running a seio 820 in my main 120 and a modded mj900 in my 35 gal cube just fine. Thanks to Reefmeister for resetting the gfi and making sure verything is ok!

I live in Chino Hills too, I rushed home (from City of Industry) on my lunch hour to see the destruction. Luckily, it was not too bad. There was about a gallon of saltwater on the floor, and a few corals had to be put back in place. But, it seems that everything is okay!!!

Just got home ( Lakewood ) and my 125 is for the most part untouched. I had some rock tumble but nothing major. I was at work when it hit ( Irvine ) and was cleaning my pico and thank god I was doing it then as if I wasnt there, the water would of went everywhere. I grabed the tank and did my best to stabalize it so no major spillage there. All I know is it felt like a freight train going through the building. To all that suffered Tank damage, sorry to hear about it and hope it is not a total loss.

Work on Wilshire. My gf was able to check my tank in Pasadena but she said some stuff were not in place, so I drove back during lunchbreak to move frags back to where they were. My parent's house in Diamond Bar got shook pretty hard and my small tank there was ok just some water spillage.

Sorry to hear that Hugo. I hope all the mother colonies were in your mt?

Started to shake a little.. then my whole house swayed side to side.. i was also surprised that it was only a 5.4 Mag.. but they say it was only 7 mi below the surface so we felt it more..

Water slashed outta my tank and onto my powerchord.. shorted the fuse in my house.. but now fix (going to move my cables now)

I work in Moorpark. Pretty far from Chino but we still felt a good shaking. My tanks at home probably tossed some water but I'm not too worried about it. I havent heard from the apt mgr yet so I'm guessing the tanks are ok.
Hope everybody else's tanks are ok.

I work in Santa Ana and live in Mission viejo. REally felt it at work so I busted it home to see what happened to the tank.

My tank is TALL 36x16x30 That with a 3ft stand and a 1ft hood = 7ft tall with only 16in front to back. Thank gawd, there wasnt a single issue. No rock movement, no splash on the floor... Nothing.

Dodged a bullit on that one.


Wait... I was about to post this up when I remembered that I hadn't checked the garage!! Brand new custom 120 with 1/2in starfire, new stand with the hood perched precariously on it. Oh, and 3 bikes hanging from the rafter by teh seats right above all the tank stuff.
Just checked though. A-ok

That would have been my luck. Post that everything is fine and then realize that all the work on the new tank would be down the tubes! :lol:

I live in Walnut and was hit kind hard in my opinion...tank was missing about 5 gallons of water when I got home and I toped off last night...here are some pictures so I guess you all know what I will be doing for the next several hours. LEVELED :thumbdown

i got lucky im only 15 miles from chino and only 2 of my frags fell over thank god, if you need anything that i might have hugo i bring it to you sorry to hear about the frag tank
