Easy SPS Corals to Keep

I was looking for suggestions on which SPS corals are the easiest to keep in terms of water flow and water stability.

I know my lighting is more that enough and my water quality is fairly stable, but due to my tank being mainly soft coral and LPS, the flow is lower than what most SPS require. I currently have 2 Koralia 4 powerheads in a 90 gallon tank.

There are parts in my tank that are right in front of the powerhead that are too turbulent for softies and LPS but should be perfect for SPS.

Please let me know if there are any SPS that will be fine in these conditions.

Thanks!

Can you list parameters?

What is "more than enough lighting" and "fairly stable"? This all plays into the mix of the total environment you need.

If you don't already run carbon, I would do so in a mixed reef 24/7 and change frequently. I would also stay on a regimented maintenance program as well.

That being said, I would start with some Montipora Digitata or Capricornis and then maybe some Seriatopora like Pink Bird Nest. These have both been fairly good to me and made it through some tough times during the first year of stabilizing my tank.

water flow requirements are going to depend on the growth characteristics (tight knit or dense colonies will require more flow, while less dense and spread out colonies will require less)

that point aside
best one to start with :
Pavona D.
montipora capricornis
montipora hispidia
tubinaria peltata
acropora formosa
montipora digitata
--to name a few

if you can find it, try a pavona, I personally really dig their growth pattern, pillar/cactus like growth. When incorporated into a well scaped reef pavona's structure can really add a "natural" look to the display.

When saying fairly stable, I mean that I sometimes get a slight fluctuation in calcium and magnesium, that being said, all other params are good!
Temp:78-80
salinity:1.025
Ca:390-420ppm
Mg:1100-1250ppm
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 0
Phos: 0

The lighting is an 8 bulb t5 fixture with reflectors, and the SPS will be high in the tank. I do run carbon 24/7 and do a 20% water change every 2 weeks.

How often should you change the carbon, i have only been running it for 1 month and haven't changed it yet!

Thanks for the suggestions, let me know what you think about the params and equipment!
