Eclipse systems

hm....

hm....

I've seen them at Petsmart...they cost about $120.00 here. Thin and tall design, glass only. Petco *might* have them, usually your LFS can order one in for you, be prepared to pay though...

a mantis very rarely breaks a glass tank, i wouldnt worry about an acrylic unless its not much more expensive.

I have a six gallon eclipse tank the highst I have seen are 12 gallon eclipse system but they may have higher gallon tank know.
I saw it at the Leesburg pet center.

The original Eclipse systems were actually just hoods, which were set on top of all-glass tanks. I have an older Eclipse 1 model hood on a 12 gallon glass tank. They made Eclipse 2 &3, which fit on larger tanks, but be advised: they are not acrylic tanks form the new System 6 and System 12 tanks. A co-worker from my wife's office has a freshwater Eclipse tank somewhere in the 29-30 gallon range.

My mantis is in a 6 gal "Galaxy 5" tank: the walmart edition of the Eclipse System 6. Both are made by Marineland. The reason I bought mine: I found the mantis & put him in a critter keeper with a bubble-up filter in it, and foudn the tank complete for pretty cheap.
