My LFS just got in these 30-50 gallon eclipse tanks. When i saw one my first thought was "octo tank" because it was just like the little 6 gallon eclipse tanks(like how the top is with the light and filter built in) witch makes a very nice octo proof tank. This seems like the perfect tank i needed for the octo i was planning to get(bimac) except for 1 thing. I know the filters on eclipse tanks are not very powerful so i was thinking of setting up a canister filter(sp) and protien skimmer. I could fit the tubes for the filter in the little slot in the back of the canopy(made for heater and light wires) but attaching a protien skimmer to it would be a challenge since they take up alot of room and would not fit the with the top. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a protien skimmer on there? Do you know of any good online store where i can buy a small skimmer?(would have to fit in the tank under the hood since you cant fit any big tubes or pipes through the back)
