Immediately upon opening this morning, I relayed the comments here to Shaun, our Senior Software Engineer. We aren't finding any hiccups on our end, but did just reset the server.
For those who are experiencing issues connecting to EcoSmart Live, please close out of the ESL webpage and exit the connection manager. Then (with 1 fixture connected via USB), open up the connection manager, ensure you are logged in, and relaunch the ESL webpage.
If anyone continues to have issues, please contact us directly and we'll be sure to get you up and running as quickly as possible.

I was finally able to get everything setup but it took me several hours. Programming 8 lights is time consuming when you need to update the firmware on each light even though they are all updated to the latest version.
There are sooooo many bugs with ESL that I could write a book.
Now that they are programmed, I dont ever want to login to ESL again.

If you have legitimate issues, I would encourage you to express them by e-mailing beta@ecotechmarine.com. The EcoSmart Live software is (very clearly) labeled BETA because we are continuously updating and improving it. Additionally, our customer service and R&D departments are open Monday-Friday from 9-5 and would be happy to assist you over the phone in the event that you have questions or need support.
A major update is coming in the next few weeks that will eliminate the existing bugs as well as the addition of some exciting new features.

You still need a computer which is USB connected to one of your radions then use safari from ur ipad to control the set
It's not a real wireless solution yet...
I hope the new update includes controlling vortech remotely and addition of a modular wireless device....:hb2:

No, because it will still need connection manager to installed which is only available on windows and Mac ..although I have reported a bug for 10.8.2 where connection manager for me doesn't open at all...so ATM I am only using a windows os for controlling it

Ecotech has said that they have a plan and a product roadmap to link their products to the internet in the future. They would not spend all their resources on a product unless they had a vision and a plan. Give it time.....

Any more info on this? I would like to eventually be able to control the $1500+ I have over my tank without constant software issues.

I run 12 lights I was having trouble, I saw that they said call. I called. Lights work like a charm.
