Ecotech for my 115gal SPS

I sent email to ecotech, but thought I would post here also. My 115gal SPS is up and running and soon to get livestock. Besides the return flow, I set it up with two Koralia 3's and two Koralia 1's.
However, I want to do better with flow and wavemaking so I am looking for some answers from those with experience with the MP40Ws

Tank is 36" long x 24" deep x 30" tall and is HDPE barebottom.

1. Is two of the 40W the way to go?
2. Would they need to be positioned at same height on the sides?
3. What heights would be recommended?

Thanks for reading and taking time to answer.

Two MP40w's would be the ideal situation but you could also start with one. I would place one on the right pane, 8" from the back wall and 4" from the surface and one on the left pane 8" from the front wall and 4" from the surface.

Nice tank! I am a big fan of my Vortechs on the back wall of my tank, with a black background. They hide real well and work real well too. I have to keep mine running at about 75% to keep the sand in place allong the front glass, but you wouldn't have that problem. It doesn't make a huge wave, front to back, but I can get a wave going. I use reef crest, lagoon or long wave pulse.

I currently have one MP40 in a 220g (twice your length but same dimensions other than that) along with a closed loop. I get so much flow from the one Vortech that I have another on order and plan on removing the closed loop.

The flow I get from one Vortech, and what you will get will be more than all those Koralia's combined. I would also suggest getting just one and seeing if its enough flow before spending the money on a second unit.

You should be fine with 2 mp40w in your 115g. I have 2 MP40w in my 82g (36"x22"x24") and they're perfect. I have 3" sand bed also. I placed one at the left side at about 6" from the top & front glass and the 2nd one at the back upper right corner with 4" from the surface and 5" away from the right panel.

I'm going to hijack for a moment. :o
I'm going tomorrow to buy my first MP40W.
I have a 110G, 48x18x30 tall. Right now I have 2 Koralia 4s and 3 Kor. nanos.
Too little flow and hard to place the big potatoes where I want them.
I'm hoping one MP40W will be enough because I can't afford two.
Any recommendation on placement?
Should I try to place some nanos behind my rocks?

Thanks guys!
