Ecotech shipping out QD this week?

Does anyone actually know if Ecotech is shipping them out this week?

I thought this week to retailers, and then next week to us?

That's just what I had heard, nothing official certainly. Some of the online places have actually been adjusting the ETAs this week. MD, for example, was saying 5-7 days on Monday; now it's 2-3 days. Encouraging.

after a conversation yesterday with EcoTech I was told that they might be shipped, maybe next week.

I ordered 2 upgrades..

I may just order a pump. Who knows when they will have the updates.. Drives me nuts that they don't put dates on products.

Got a email ad this morning from Premium Aquatics that they had the new pumps in stock now, and one from TB Aquatics that said they will have theirs in stock tomorrow.

I really don't see what the big deal is with giving out an exact date..I mean come on we know when a new video game comes out..down to the exact day and hour..why is it such a secret?i get the whole pre order thing with the drivers but what's the point of a pre order without knowing a specific date ?

My guess is that ETM doesn't really know for sure what the demand will be for these new units and is focussing on full units first rather than the upgrades. They monitor these threads, so if there was useful information to share presumably they would have done so. FWIW, they're a small business, and if in their shoes, I'd do the same thing.
