Ecotech still in business?

No response since Friday to forum or on their phones....and my order has not shipped since last Monday.....nice.

Cause I have no idea who is reading this. And yes 'nice': a week to ship? No responses and no phone support last Friday? Blame the storm all you want. I got better support from China last week on a $12 (shipped) flaky USB drive.

I apologize for the delay, but you have to understand that our offices are closed on the weekend and as SkullV reminded, an unexpected snow storm left our office without power. I'd like to get this taken care of, but I'll need you to provide me with your order information so I can provide further details. Please contact me directly at the number below and I'll be sure to answer any questions you might have.

If I click on his details all I see is the main number which I tried Friday and Monday and just sit forever on hold to music.

I looked for an option where I may have disabled more detailed info but I don't see it.

But anyway tried the mani number again just now and got through instantly. Apparently they were out of stock of maintenance kits and had to make some more up....and shipping dept has been real busy.....

He (Brett I think?) offered to not charge for shipping to make up for it.

FWIW folks (members and Ecotech forum support) should reread the post. I didn't place an order midnight Friday where I would not expect it to ship until yesterday under normal circumstances. I placed it at noon last Monday. No storm in the NE last week from what I remember.

Issue closed.

There is no signature on his first post, this is all there is:

Please just don't jump in without reading the thread. Jeez.

As they said they had a power outage I assumed it was a direct line to him not to the main phone line. I don't know why I don't see the sig in his post above. Anyone want me to email them a browser screen shot just to prove I don't see it?

So I went to do exactly that, but in FF and not Chrome so you don't see all my open tabs, bookmarks etc and much to my surprise the whole thread looks different and the Ecotech response from Jonathan DOES include the sig.....huh? Is anyone else using Chrome to view the thread? I will post this to forum support I guess.

Regardless, I just love the way that everyone picks holes in my part in this (and how would you all have handled this - just sat back and waited and hoped for the best I presume?), but NO ONE is questioning 5+ working days to ship repair parts and no main phone line response last Friday.

If I hadn't called it possibly wouldn't have been shipped today either.

Maybe my past experiences with their tech support let me set my expectations too high.

sorry, was just trying to help you with the number :) but am glad it worked out fine :)

Issues do happen, specially now that they are super busy with the LED lighting and the storm :) but its great that they corrected it :) I personally have only had good experience with Ecotech support !

sorry if you got my post wrong :)

OK, the smileys helped...:) Sorry is I misinterpreted your message. Weird about the browser issue, I sent a message to forum support, will post back with that they say.

I only use Chrome and have no issues with signatures. Might be a setting on your Reef Central preferences. Do you seen my signature below my posts?

No I don't see your sig in Chrome. But why would my RC settings be different between FF and Chrome? Just tested IE and it works fine as well, per FF. Doesn't make any sense. Huh.

Go up to the top of this page and click on the "MY RC" tab. On the left hand side find the Edit Options link, click on it. Scroll down to "Thread Display Options" and see if the "Show Signatures" box is checked.

OK, looks like I was a visitor in FF and IE i.e. not signed in. Sigs are off when logged into Chrome. So that's that little mystery solved...thanks for helping clearing that up!

Not to get off topic... but I'm from Jax, and seeing your location detail (St. Augustine) made me smile. Took my wife to see the Fort for her first time (She's from TX) last year, and we've been married 7 years already!
