Hard to tell from the pics, but I'd guess either tunicates or maybe a basket star. Is it mobile or attached to the blue ridge?

I did notice the brown coloration seems to be coming back, and you're starting to get some nice polyp extention.

It's attached to the blue ridge and not seen it moved..... sort of like a ribbon worm to me but never seen a ribbon worm hairy

Yeah, the blue ridge is recovering well....they are odd. They will get dark like this, and then they will PE and after that shred their wax like skin and then all nice blue again....and the cycle goes on!

I've had blue ridge before, and never seen it shed to the point a new color comes out. Mine is always honey brown. It looks shiny after shedding.

I don't know. You said it doesn't move about, so I can't imagine it being a worm.

Odd....how often do your blue ridge shred  Mine shred almost weekly to 10 days :eek1:

could it be that its just PE?

I doubt it's PE - pretty sure it's a worm or bristle star of some kind

EHIEM AUTOMATIC GRAVEL CLEANER REVIEW

EHIEM AUTOMATIC GRAVEL CLEANER REVIEW

Got a little time today to write up a quick review for those who is interested:

How It Works?
This battery -operated gravel cleaner (they even included batteries) is designed that dirt is taken up without disturbing the gravel and its purifying bacteria.

AutomaticVacumn02.jpg

Comes with an ON/OFF switch (can’t be any easier) and the only thing you have to assemble is the plastic end.

It runs on 4 battery and the battery casing is waterproof, which means the whole thing can be submerged into the water.

The pump is quite strong and yet with a gentle suction. However have to be careful not to let the sand go up too high or it might end up jamming the rotating gear.

A filter compartment in the device retains the dirt while letting the water immediately back into the aquarium. The filter element is simple to remove for cleaning.

Suitable to used both for FW and SW tanks and most importantly to note ITS FULLY SUBMERSIBLE

What they can do better:
As the water is return back into the tank, you still have to do WC, unlike those manual gravel cleaner, where you can vacuum the bottom and do a WC at the same time.

Would be nice to have an option to removed the water in this case.

Summary:
What else’s to say, works as advertise and I think they are the only battery-operated gravel cleaner out there.

I would rate this product a ‘must-have’ for busy executives, who don’t have time to clean the sand bed regularly.

Also a great tool to clean your sump tank, especially in those tight space and shallow water where the manual gravel won’t work too well.

No more hand shaking for me and having those hose connected to your manual gravel comes loose and causing a flood in your house….

Overall, I give this an A+ in my books of ‘recommended maintenance equipments to have’.

Already got another 2 friends buying it……

Only you can buy a dead piece of coral, well it looked dead, have it come back to life AND have something we have never seen before growing on it!
Where do you shop???????
