Eel in reef tank?

Sounds great. I have been reading a lot of positive post about keeping them. It seems like everyone that has one really likes them. It funny how some people talk about the cleaner shrimp and the zebra live together in the same cave. Like maybe they take care of each other in the wild. No one wants to mess with the shrimp that rides on the back of a eel. Now for covering your tank. what do you keep over your tank? I have a canopy over a euro braced acrylic tank. I was thinking of just adding mesh to the back of the canopy as all the other sides are closed. I don't think it would be easy for him to get out either ways as the euro brace covers 5" around the whole perimeter of the tank.

My blood shrimp (and scarlet skunk cleaner when he was alive) is always with the eel, *always*. I know Im gonna get flack for this, but... I have nothing covering my tank :worried: Ill be getting a canopy soon enough, and at one point tried the BRS screen cover, but it was a huge eye sore, and my moray typically hangs out in the rockwork all day, except when I feed. Would I recommend this? No. I would just lay some screening over the back of the canopy if I were you.

Old thread but looking for advice.
I have a 125 long ( standard ) with black eggCrate cut to fit the 3 open sections.
it is pretty snug fit but was wondering if I needed to brace out the corners for keeping a Zebra Eel in. something like starboard etc that is secured to the frame of the tank(?)
eel is about 2'.
