EELS and copper

Hi , i have gotten different opinions on whether eels can handle copper? LFS owners say yes. People on forums say no. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

They do not handle copper well at all, they are just like sharks in that aspect

ok thanks i am in a tough spot. I was thinking about using copper in DT tank but i have 3 eels and i cant use CP because of my Broomtail. Not enough QT for everyone. What to do????

No, missed that part. You can't use copper with liverock Reuther though and expect anything to live thru it other than nitrifying bacteria as far as "œliverock"goes

You can but any copepods, amphipods, or any other invert will not make it thru the hypo
