What is the best type of valve to use to control your effluent from your calcium reactor? My valve keeps getting clog with salt creep and clogging the flow. So I was wondering what everyone else is using?

First move the valve to the inlet of the reactor rather than the output so then you will have less salt creep. Other than that I normally use small needle valves.

look on page 403 for the "pvc and polypropylene needle valves"

you can get the barb fitting ones or get the threaded ones and two speedfit fittings.

i use it on my geo reactor. works great. it's the same valve that's included with barraquatic and MTC reactors.

much higher quality than any pinch valve. i've got it on the output of the reactor without any problems for 1+ year
