Egg crate under MH?

I want to use some eggcrate to cover a tank until I get a more elegant net/screen set up. Any danger in having the egg crate under a halide? It will probably be 8-10" above the water

I never had any problem and mine was 3-4 inches away. If you search around they make chrome, black, or white flavors.

if hot lighting isn't vented with fans it can melt/ cause sagging eggcrate
