I readily admit I haven't looked that hard at any of LFS's....

Go to Home Depot or Lowes. It's actually a diffuser for florencent light fixtures.

actually the home depots in my area and OSH dont carry them anymore.

Try Taps Plastic. They carry them

They have them at the Home Depot in Serramonte. They're in the back in the lighting dept.
