I have only 2 types of snail in my tank. Narcissus and Stomatella snails. This is a picture of an unknown egg case on a frag rack. I have only seen stomatella snails here cleaning algae. Any ideas? They are about 1- 1.5 mm in length

Nassarius vibex egg sacks look similar to those. I wouldn't cross your fingers though as far as any of those making it to adulthood. Think of them as a snack for your reef... ;)

Why is that? :) Why do most not make it?

Predatation mainly. Fish often eat the new borns. Also, don't take my word on this but I think I heard they also go through a free floating larval stage as well making overflows and filter intakes deadly.

ive seen like 20 baby snails one night :eek1: since my tanks been established, looks like a baby turbo, I only see them on live rock usually at night with the lights off

Most likely Collonista snails. These often hitchhike there way into our tanks and reproduce like rabbits.

Ha thanks, I use a canon 5D with a 100mm macro lens and tripod. Macro photography is where I spend most of my time
