I have only 2 types of snail in my tank. Narcissus and Stomatella snails. This is a picture of an unknown egg case on a frag rack. I have only seen stomatella snails here cleaning algae. Any ideas? They are about 1- 1.5 mm in length
Nassarius vibex egg sacks look similar to those. I wouldn't cross your fingers though as far as any of those making it to adulthood. Think of them as a snack for your reef...
Predatation mainly. Fish often eat the new borns. Also, don't take my word on this but I think I heard they also go through a free floating larval stage as well making overflows and filter intakes deadly.

ive seen like 20 baby snails one night :eek1: since my tanks been established, looks like a baby turbo, I only see them on live rock usually at night with the lights off
