Ehiem heater

I just purchased an Ehiem Jager Heater for use in my sat water mixing can and one of the suction cups is not sticking. I am worried it may melt the plastic. Is this a consern? If so what can i do to fix it?

I don't have a problem with my 200w heater in my Brute mixing container.

You can always cut a short piece of pvc pipe and fasten the heater inside of it, then put the pipe in your mixing container and the heater can't touch the container.

Mine layes right against the bottom of my Rubbermade container. Never really thought about it melting. I guess there is enough heat disipation from the water to keep it from reaching melting temps.

As long as you don't run it dry your water will cool the heater down enough to keep it from melting the plastic.

Ok good to hear the one sction cup seems to be keeping it from touching atm but good to hear its nothing much to worry about anyways

As long as you have a powerhead in the container to provide circulation, it'll be fine.
