Elegance and Blue Face Angel, do they mix?

My Tank is SPS dominated but I have this love for Elegance. My lfs just received a huge shipment of Aussie elegance and the colors and sizes are amazing! I have a 7" Blue Face in the tank and was wondering if there's anyone out there keeping the two together without any issues.
Does the Elegance have the same stinging capacity as the hammer? I have a hammer that's doing well. Any advise appreciated...Thank You!

Well, i wouldnt recommend it, but i have a blue face that was kept with an elegance for sometime. I didnt have problem till the elegance contracted pretty deep. The blue face just kept peaking at it. If your water quality is good and the elegance gets a good amount of flow, food and light it should be fine. But, Blue Faces will take advantage of that once it contracts a lot. Nevertheless, the elegance is from Australia so it should be very healthy.

Also im not sure if a elegance has the same stringing capacity as a hammer but it should be near the top.

So how's yours doing? Is it still alive? SO you're saying that if it's open a lot the angel is unlikely to touch it?
My tank has very good flow, in fact it may be too much for an elegance. I have to shield it from my Vortec. My lighting is 250 14K MH.
Thanks for the reply...cheers!

A healthy Elegance has a very powerful sting. I would not put an Elegance in your tank. Very bad idea.

If a healthy elegance has a powerful sting why would it be a bad idea? My hammer is thriving without the Angel touching it...
Was there another reason why you suggests not to put one in my tank?

You said, "any advice appreciated". You want to know if a SPS tank with a large angel is a good home for an Elegance. The answer to that is no. The power of its sting has very little to do with it. They have large, open, very vulnerable oral disks. They are easy targets for grazing fish like your angel.
