elegance coral placement

Few days ago, i bought a elegance coral and im confused with the placement of this coral. For most people, their elegance is placed to the bottom of the sand bed, but i read in other threads that they are more suitable on rock structure and they tend to be more healthy.

I want to know from your experience with this coral and where should i place mine. sand or rock?
(currently, my elegance is on a rock)

thank you

Low and slow. I had mine next to the rock work and I think the bristle worms were ****ing it off because it was shrunken up for a solid three weeks. Moved it further from the rocks and it is happier than a pig in poop.

It depends. If the coral you bought is kinda transparent then you should place it in a shady place with not too much water movement. The transparency means that the coral was collected from deep water and it turned transparent so the low light can reach its zooxanthellae. If the coral skin is more thick it means that its used to more light so you can place it anywhere under your lights. Best prefered is moderate lighting, sandbed and low water movement. Heres some photos with my thriving elegance that has to deal with my ocellaris too. Hope i helped ☺
